DIG Full Form in Police: DIG का फुल फॉर्म Deputy Inspector General होता है। Full Form of DIG का हिन्दी मतलब पुलिस उप महानिरीक्षक होता है। DIG भारतीय पुलिस बल में वन स्टार क्वालिफाइड पुलिस ऑफिसर हैं। एक पुलिस अधिकारी एसएसपी रैंक से पदोन्नत होने के बाद डीआईजी बनता है। DIG (पुलिस उप महानिरीक्षक) को विभिन्न पुलिस स्टेशनों की निगरानी और पर्यवेक्षण करने व कानून व्यवस्था बनाने का निर्देश SSP को देता है साथ ही पुलिस महानिरीक्षक को अपना योगदान देता है ।
DIG Full Form in Hindi: पुलिस उप महानिरीक्षक (DIG) भारतीय पुलिस बल में एक पद है, जो पुलिस महानिरीक्षक (IG) से कनिष्ठ पद होता है। यह भारतीय पुलिस सेवा मे एक महत्वपूर्ण पद है, जिन्होंने सफलतापूर्वक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक (SSP) या पुलिस उपायुक्त (DCP) के रूप में कार्य किया था। वह एक IPS अधिकारी होता है और उसे DIG के रैंक पर पदोन्नत किया जाता है। डीआईजी एसएसपी के समान गहरे नीले रंग की पृष्ठभूमि और सिली हुई सफेद रेखा वाली गर्दन पर गोरगेट पैच पहनते हैं इनकी वर्दी पर 3 सितारे होते है, एक राज्य में अनेक डीआईजी हो सकते हैं। डीआईजी 8900 के पे ग्रेड के साथ पे बैंड 4 (37400 से 67000) में हैं
DIG के कार्य
डीआईजी अपने क्षेत्र मे पुलिस अनुशासन बनाए रखने के लिए कई सहयोग करता है। DIG अपने क्षेत्र का रिपोर्ट IG को देता है। DIG कुछ घटनाओं को संभालने के लिए जिला मजिस्ट्रेट के साथ मिलकर काम करता है।
डीआईजी बनने की प्रक्रिया
उम्मीदवार को यूपीएससी द्वारा आयोजित सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में उपस्थित होना होता है।
परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद उम्मीदवारों को IPS अधिकारी के रूप में नियुक्त किया जाता है और आईपीएस अधिकारियों के रूप में प्रासंगिक प्रशिक्षण से गुजरना होता है।
IPS अधिकारी प्रशिक्षण पूरा करने के बाद, उम्मीदवार को ACP (सहायक पुलिस आयुक्त) या ASP (सहायक पुलिस अधीक्षक) के रूप में नामित किया जाता है।
अंत में, आवेदकों को एसपी (पुलिस अधीक्षक) के पद पर और फिर एसएसपी (वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक) की भूमिका में और फिर अनुभव के आधार पर डीआईजी (पुलिस उप महानिरीक्षक) के पद पर पदोन्नत किया जाता है।
DIG बनने के लिए पात्रता
उम्मीदवार को भारत का नागरिक होना चाहिए। कुछ परिस्थितियो मे नेपाल, भूटान और निर्वासित तिब्बती नागरिक भी पात्र है।
भारत के किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्व विद्यालय से स्नातक डिग्री उत्तीर्ण.
